This is beautiful but I know I wouldn’t be able to imitate it. I’ve tried curling my very thick straight hair with my home curling wand to do a vintage look but it doesn’t hold as well as overnight pillow/foam rollers. Also it’s really hard to do on yourself, rollers are much easier to do on yourself and achieve a good effect imho.

I was taught by my cousin to use heat protectant as soon as i wanted to use a hot tool. She taught me wait to use heat protectant until its parted. I see everyone just spray the top layer and perimeter. I dont know how its getting to any of the middle or hidden pieces. But even hair stylists do it lol.
